Low-Cost Saudi Airline Announces Flight Schedule to Pakistan

Saudi low-cost carrier Flyadeal announced plans to begin scheduled flights to Karachi, Pakistan’s commercial hub, starting February 2, 2025. According to a statement from the airline, this move marks a significant milestone in its international expansion strategy and represents its first scheduled service to Pakistan and South Asia.

Beginning February 2, Karachi will be connected with twice-weekly flights to Riyadh, the Saudi capital, and Jeddah, the Kingdom’s commercial center. CEO Steven Greenway revealed that additional Pakistani cities are planned for future routes.

“I commend the Pakistani authorities and our planning team for their collaborative efforts in introducing this new market to flyadeal’s year-round destinations,” Greenway said. “With strong cultural and historical ties between Saudi Arabia and Pakistan, along with the growing demand for air travel driven by commercial, pilgrim, and family connections, this was a natural step for us to establish this air corridor.”

Greenway also highlighted Flyadeal’s success in operating Hajj charters to Pakistan earlier this year. “The launch of these two new routes to Karachi not only expands our network but also marks our entry into South Asia with scheduled services,” he added.

Tickets to Pakistan are now available for booking through the airline’s official channels.

Plans for International Growth

The CEO emphasized that international expansion is now a priority for Flyadeal, as its fleet continues to grow. Over the next year, the airline plans to add destinations across South Asia, Europe, the Middle East, and North Africa to its network.

This expansion aligns with Saudi Vision 2030, which aims to attract over 150 million domestic and international tourists annually by 2030.

Currently, flyadeal operates nearly 30 domestic and international destinations across Saudi Arabia, Europe, the Middle East, and North Africa from its primary hubs in Riyadh, Jeddah, and Dammam.

The airline’s expansion continues into January 2025, with new domestic flights from Dammam to Najran, Tabuk, and Yanbu, as well as new services from Riyadh and Jeddah to Amman, Jordan, all launching on January 1.
