UAE visa to reopen for Bangladeshis in February

Bangladeshi population in UAE now exceeds 1.2 million people

Tourist visas for the UAE will open in February, according to Abdullah Al Hamoudi, the UAE ambassador to Bangladesh.

The Bangladeshi community in Dubai hosted a reception for the newly appointed ambassador Mushfiqul Fazal Ansarey, who holds the rank of Senior Secretary.

At the reception, Ambassador Mushfiqul Fazal Ansarey, chief guest, said: “During the July uprising, some expatriates protested in the UAE despite knowing the consequences. I don’t know how to properly honor their sacrifices. We must remember to be more proactive in adhering to the rules in our respective workplaces.”

He further said: “The contribution of Bangladeshis to the UAE’s development is undeniable. From roads to important infrastructure and skyscrapers, the sweat of Bangladeshi workers is embedded in everything. We hope the UAE government will be more sincere in recruiting skilled workers in various professions. I urge them to give more importance to visas for doctors, engineers, IT professionals, and unskilled workers from Bangladesh.”

Mushfiqul Fazal Ansarey said: “Dr Yunus is a person whose respect and admiration are sky-high worldwide. No head of state can deny his requests. Even the UAE’s leaders could not refuse him. For this, the people of Bangladesh will always remain grateful to the UAE leaders. The visa complexities with the UAE will soon be resolved. The strong friendship we have with this country will never falter.”

The UAE ambassador to Bangladesh, Abdullah Ali Abdullah Khasif Al Hamoudi, shared positive news about UAE visas.

He said the visa complexities for Bangladeshis would be resolved between January and mid-February, and all types of visas, including travel visas, would be available.

Ambassador Al Hamoudi mentioned that UAE visas are currently closed for many countries, including Bangladesh.

Where the number of Bangladeshis in the UAE was around 700,000 to 800,000 a few years ago, it has now exceeded 1.2 million, which is the highest compared to other countries.

Expressing his desire to choose Bangladesh as his second home after retirement, he said: “Ambassador Mushfiqul is my friend. His struggles for the people of Bangladesh inspire me. I am delighted to attend his reception event.”
