PIA launches direct Riyadh–Sialkot flight service

Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has inaugurated a new direct flight route from Riyadh, Saudi Arabia’s capital, to Sialkot, aiming to facilitate the large number of passengers travelling between the two cities.

According to PIA officials, nearly 200,000 passengers travel annually from Riyadh to various cities in Pakistan. The new service is designed to provide them with greater convenience and improved travel options.

The airline stated that the launch will not only make travel easier for passengers but also strengthen air connectivity between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia.

Earlier, PIA announced a special flight operation to facilitate Arbaeen pilgrims travelling to Najaf, Iraq, after the government imposed a ban on road travel to Iran and Iraq. The special flights, which began on August 8, conclude today, with return flights scheduled between August 18 and 23. Ticket prices for the Arbaeen operation were set at $675.
