Saudi Budget Airline Flyadeal to Launch Direct Riyadh-Lahore Flights

Saudi low-cost carrier flyadeal is set to begin twice-weekly flights between Riyadh and Lahore from October 27, marking the airline’s fifth Pakistani destination in under three months as it accelerates its South Asian expansion.

The sister airline of Saudia entered Pakistan in August with services to Karachi, quickly followed by Islamabad, Peshawar, and Sialkot. The addition of Lahore increases flyadeal’s weekly Pakistan flights to 18 in total.

“It’s been a fantastic few months establishing flyadeal’s operations in Pakistan, launching new routes in rapid succession,” said Steven Greenway, CEO of flyadeal.

He added, “We fast-tracked the Riyadh-Lahore route due to aircraft availability and strong market demand, which exceeded our initial expectations.”

The aggressive expansion underscores the airline’s aim to cater to Pakistan’s large expatriate community in Saudi Arabia, which numbers over 2.7 million workers across multiple sectors.
