SriLankan Airlines scored a hat-trick, winning the title of Leading International Airline in South Asia under the Visitors’ Choice Awards category at the South Asian Travel Awards (SATA) 2025, for the third consecutive year, placing the airline at the pinnacle of aviation in the region. The airline directly connects to 33 destinations in 21 countries across the Indian Subcontinent, the Middle East, the Far East, Europe and Australia.

This includes major cities in five South Asian countries, covering three-quarters of the region. A comprehensive flight schedule, combined with SriLankan’s legendary warmth and hospitality, continues to make the airline a favourite among discerning travellers time and again.

Indunil Wijekoon, Regional Manager Sri Lanka & Indian Ocean at SriLankan Airlines, commented on the award, stating, “We are delighted to be recognised with this distinction not once, but three times in a row, and we are grateful to everyone who chose SriLankan Airlines for the top place.

This award is a testament to our unwavering commitment to excellence, strategic growth and connectivity, as well as our vision to shape the future of air travel in our home region – South Asia. It is truly rewarding to know that our customers and peers share this belief.”
