Dense Fog Disrupts Multiple PIA Flights

Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has reported that dense fog across several cities was causing disruptions to both domestic and international flights. The affected airports include Lahore, Multan, Sialkot, and Faisalabad.

A PIA spokesperson advised travelers to check the latest flight information before heading to the airport, emphasizing that temporary schedule adjustments had been made to ensure passenger safety and minimize delays.

“Reduced visibility due to dense fog has made landing and takeoff operations challenging,” the spokesperson said, adding that passengers could contact the PIA helpline for updates on their flights.

The Pakistan Meteorological Department’s weekly forecast indicated that cold and dry conditions would prevail across much of the country on Tuesday, with moderate to dense fog or smog expected in Punjab, upper Sindh, and the plains of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Earlier, the Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) had warned of heavy fog and smog in Punjab from December 12 to 16, advising residents to take necessary precautions.
