Sri Lanka to boost domestic aviation

Plans are underway to implement a programme aimed at strengthening Sri Lanka’s domestic aviation sector to support the growth of the tourism industry, said Minister of Ports and Civil Aviation Anura Karunathilake.

Speaking to the media in Galle, the Minister emphasized the need to improve facilities for tourists, noting that enhanced services are essential to attract high-end visitors to the country.

He said the initiative is part of broader efforts to develop the tourism sector and ensure a better experience for both local and international travelers.
