PIA enters new era with arrival of Boeing 787-9 Dreamliners

The Pakistan Aircraft Owners and Operators Association (AOOA) has reportedly welcomed modern Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner aircraft joining Pakistan International Airlines (PIA).

AOOA founder Imran Aslam Khan said the addition of these advanced aircraft could help PIA improve its operations and strengthen its position in the international aviation market.

He said the Dreamliner aircraft would provide the airline with an opportunity to expand and improve its long-distance international flights.

The Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner is a modern wide-body passenger aircraft designed for long-distance international travel.

Its advanced engines and lightweight construction help reduce fuel consumption compared with older aircraft of similar capacity.

The aircraft also offers modern cabin features, including larger windows, improved lighting and a more comfortable environment for passengers.

According to the association, the addition of Dreamliners could increase PIA’s passenger capacity and support growth in international ticket sales.

These aircraft could also help the airline compete more effectively with other international carriers operating long-haul routes.

AOOA said improved aircraft facilities and modern cabin designs would benefit overseas Pakistanis and international travellers.

Moreover, PIA has been working to improve its international operations and rebuild its position in the aviation industry.

The Boeing 787-9 is capable of carrying approximately 290 passengers in a typical two-class configuration, although seating arrangements vary between airlines.

Its long-range capabilities make it suitable for flights connecting Pakistan with destinations in Europe, North America and other international markets.

However, the association’s statement did not specify how many Dreamliners would join PIA or provide a confirmed delivery schedule.
